My First Attempt in Frying Pork Side Ribs

Updated: Oct 21, 2024

Today is another day to learn how to cook. This time I will be frying pork side ribs. I found various tutorials on YouTube. Since I had few ingredients, I used whatever I have in the kitchen.

First, I poured water into a pot and then let it boil. While I was waiting for the water to boil, I was cutting the ribs into smaller pieces.

Then I boiled the ribs and waited for them to soften. I drained the ribs and soaked them in cold water.

I used garlic powder, soy sauce, lemons, pepper, and Knorr Savor rick pork seasoning in marinating the ribs. The process took me two hours.

After marinating the ribs, I added oil to a pan. When the oil was ready, I gradually cooked the ribs in low-medium heat. My pork ribs were already soft, so I just fried them in medium heat.

I waited for at least 15 minutes to cook both sides of each rib. Then I dried every piece with a paper towel.

Here are my fried pork side ribs.

Completing my craving is the Coco milk tea that my housemate (Maris) bought for me. Good job to Coco for well-cooked black pearls.

I would also like to make a toast (with this milk tea) to my fellow Filipinos, who are celebrating the victory of our very own Hidilyn Diaz.

Diaz won the women’s 55 kilograms weightlifting competition at the Tokyo Olympics on Monday.

Read more about this story here.

Have a look at the winning moment of Diaz.

Tagay (cheers)!

Talk to you soon.
