How It Started
After getting a degree in Mass Communication in Cebu, Philippines, in 2011, I focused on multimedia storytelling. My journalism career started when I worked as an assistant content editor at www.sunstar.com.ph in 2012.
I, then, transitioned as an acting webcast producer in 2015 and became the multimedia editor in 2016.
In those five years, I helped run our pioneering webcast production (then called SunStar Pilipinas) which aired from Monday to Friday at www.sunstar.com.ph and SunStar Philippines' YouTube channel. The webcast ran for a few years and had multiple rebrands.
During the global pandemic in 2021, I studied journalism at Seneca College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where I was exposed to conducting interviews with advanced strategies, creating good research packs, producing podcasts, multimedia stories, and more. Read my published content on the Seneca Journalism website.
The Big Blue Marble Internship
At KPI Media Group, I learned how to write articles for the monthly newsletter and produce more elaborate podcast episodes for The Blue Files and The Big Blue Marble Podcast, products of www.bigbluemarble.earth.
