If you’re looking for a quiet place that’s in front of the beach, then you should visit the Rufana’s Rock House, Bed & Breakfast (also known as Rufana’s Bread & Breakfast) in Balamban, Cebu, Philippines.
Rufana’s is just almost a two-hour uninterrupted ride from Cebu City. You can check the map below for directions if you’re coming from central Cebu.
You can choose from these three route options: Cebu Transcentral Highway, Naga-Uling Road, or Cebu-Toledo Wharf Road-Manipis Road/Toledo-Tabunok Road.
The road leading to Rufana’s is quite tricky. If you use the Naga-Uling Road route, your landmark should be the Gaisano Grand Mall Toledo, which is a few kilometers away from Rufana’s road.
You can use Google Maps voice direction to make sure that you won’t miss the road to Rufana’s. I can’t remember if there was a signage somewhere, but the road should look like this. You can also ask the locals in the area for directions.

Room Rates
Rufana’s Bread & Breakfast offers comfortable rooms—which are mostly made of rocks—where you can stay the night. Below are the prices of their rooms. Please take note that the rates are provided by Rufana's management as of this posting.
Main Room with Swimming Pool
· Panorama Room (Main house’s master’s bedroom) – P2,800 (overnight stay for two persons with free breakfast)
· Seaview Room (Main house’s lower room) – P1,800 (overnight stay for two persons with free breakfast)

Note: If you rent the whole house, you will pay P12,000 for 15 people. You can share beds, use the kitchen (including the LPG for cooking), and use the water dispenser. You can also exclusively use the swimming pool if you rent the entire house.
Other Rooms
· Premier Rooms – P1,500 (overnight stay for two persons)
· Standard Rooms – P1,000 (overnight stay for two persons)
What I love most about Rufana's Bread & Breakfast is that you don’t feel like you’re in a modern place. Rufana’s ambiance takes you back to your childhood dream, where you live in a house with a tree that’s close to the beach. You will feel at home even if you’re far away from home.

If you have plans to rent a place for group gatherings, reunions, team building activities, or just staycation all by yourself, then you should try this place. You won’t regret it. I would go back and enjoy the beach view and sea breeze early in the morning.
