Where to: Pangeas Beach Resort in Liloan, Cebu

IMAGINE yourself sitting on a beach bed, feeling the warmth of the sun, smelling the fresh air, and looking at a beautiful sea early in the morning.

You probably think the kind of feeling doesn't exist in your life at the moment because you're too busy with work, kids, or whatever.

Believe me, it's achieveable. The secret? Plan ahead for either a quick or a long getaway.

I recently went to Pangeas Beach Resort in Liloan, Cebu. I was with my nephew, husband, and his workmates. It was a day trip.

The place is not too wide, but it can definitely accommodate small gatherings. Pangeas has more or less seven cottages and a big holding area for more people. What amazed me was their wide grilling area, which is free to use.

Pangeas also has a swimming pool (2ft, 4ft, 5ft, 6ft). It's not that big, but it's already good enough for a quick dip.

If you want to just be alone or take some good photos, there are terraces with wooden chairs and tables. You can also take a nap downstairs where there are beach beds.

Before you head to Pangeas, check the map and know the area because it's situated far from the main road. Also, bring enough utensils, food, refreshments (you can bring a cooler), and grilling materials like charcoal to avoid hassle.

I don't really travel a lot, but I can say that this place really gives you a worthwhile getaway experience. You simply have to visit Pangeas and enjoy this enclosed haven, alone or not.
