The Covid-19 pandemic has forced educators and students around the world to change their learning setup. They now conduct their discussions, activities, and assignments online. During the process, everyone shared a mix of positive and negative effects of e-learning.

Some would say that they love studying and teaching online because it saves them time, money, and effort. Others would disagree, saying that learning online is not as effective as an in-person learning environment. Parents also found it harder to work and leave their kids at home during the pandemic.
Now that vaccines are rolling out and people are getting vaccinated, reopening schools is possible. Earlier today, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte approved September 13 as the date for the school opening this year.
The Department of Education confirmed Duterte's approval of the school opening on its Facebook page, saying they are thankful for the president's support. The education department also said they hope the stakeholders will continue to support them in providing education "amid a global health crisis."
The education department did not clearly say if the school opening will still follow the online learning setup for public schools.
However, the department posted an advisory to private schools non-DepEd public schools on school opening.
"The Department of Education (DepEd) announces that pending the approval of the new general school opening and school calendar, private schools and non-DepEd public schools may already start their classes for SY 2021-2022, provided that there are no face-to-face classes, and that the school will be strictly implementing only distance learning modalities." - Department of Education
The education department must provide the public, especially students and teachers, detailed instruction of the school opening to avoid confusion.
Talk to you soon.
