Filming Day in the Time of Pandemic

Updated: Oct 21, 2024

Today was so much fun because I shot actual interviews with our focus person and an expert. Production is different when you do it in person as compared with doing it online. I did most of my previous interviews with my focus persons using Zoom.

There were a lot of things to consider during the day's shoot. We had to think about recording the audio clearly since we are doing the interview outdoor. We also had to consider the shots that are doable in the area.

Since we are still facing a pandemic, our team made sure we follow health and safety protocols like distancing from each other, wearing masks and sanitizing. Our focus person was so accommodating. She even offered us fresh apples when we arrived.

The entire day was a learning experience and also something to ponder in the future. Before the pandemic, we did not need to do all the health and safety protocols when we meet people. Now, it is different.

We were extra careful because even if we were vaccinated we can still be carriers of the virus.

Overall, today was a great experience. I am certainly looking for more personal interviews with my assignments in the future. How about you? What are you looking forward to these days?

Talk to you soon.

P.S.
